National League - October 2009
Following our first experience of football under league rules, Kettering second time round became a little more of a thoughtful experience, but undaunted by the road north the team made their way to the Arena Sports Centre.
Knowing that meeting people who are rapidly become familiar friends was helpful but still the task on the pitch still had to be undertaken.
And we need not have feared...
Due to traffic and direction problems which caused the late arrival of one of the team, we started the first game with 3 players, and at the end of the match finally with a full complement the team had WON 2-1 against Nottingham PFC2. The crowd went wild, mexican waves heralded the team off the pitch and if it were not for the fear of being run over by a wheelchair, I'm sure there would have been a pitch invasion.
This set us up for the weekend, and with a draw against Evergreen 2 on the SUnday, Swindon Rockets lifted themselves off the bottom of the league.
SO... Bring it on... Bring on Brazil!!!!
